Renee Kitt
Renee got her start as a citizen scientist volunteer with Audubon Naturalist Society in 2000 as a Biological Stream Monitor and has continued under several different stream programs ever since in Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William counties. She has also taught some beginner benthic macro invertebrate classes over the years for adults and children. She received her Virginia Master Naturalist Certification in 2013 and now serves the majority of her volunteer hours at The Clifton Institute in Warrenton, VA. Renee moved to Fauquier County in 2003 and has been an active volunteer in Fauquier and surrounding counties in the areas of water quality, native plants for habitat and community education. Most recently she worked with ASNV, and Master Gardeners to extend the Audubon at Home program into Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. While Renee’s day job is in Business Operation within the critical infrastructure side of telecommunication she is very passionate about being a volunteer and is looking forward to the day she can spend many more hours promoting citizen science and community stewardship of our natural world.
