David Luther

David is a life-long birder. Originally from California, he moved to the DC region and Virginia 15 years ago, after earning his PhD in Ecology from UNC Chapel Hill. David is an Associate Professor at George Mason University where he teaches Ornithology and Animal Behavior classes. His research focuses on bird ecology and conservation in the Amazon of Brazil and locally In Virginia. David lives in Burke, Virginia and gets out to bird watch with friends and family every chance he gets.
