Join us for our annual in-person member meeting and Audubon Afternoon. All are welcome! You do not need to be an ASNV member to attend. This year’s topic is “Raptor Rehab,” presented by Secret Garden Birds and Bees. Liz Dennison will join us to talk about what rehabbers actually do to help injured or sick birds recover, how they give orphaned raptors the best chance of survival in the wild, some of the more interesting cases they’ve seen, and the physical and emotional toll of being a rehabber. Liz will also give practical information about what you can do if you find an injured wild animal. She will be bringing several live raptors for this program! A great opportunity to see birds of prey up-close. Bring the whole family. No registration required, but you may wish to register to get a reminder email about the event.

***Plus FREE Door prize raffle to win a Large Print of an Award-Winning Photograph***

We also have a few business details to take care of before the Raptor Rehab program. We’ll gather starting at 2:30 PM for some informal visiting in the cafeteria of the National Wildlife Federation Building. You may (but don’t have to) bring a snack or beverage to share with the crowd. At 3:00 PM we’ll have a brief Annual Meeting where we will announce Birdathon 2023 results, elect officers and directors and take care of a few other items. See below for the business meeting agenda.

The agenda for the business meeting is as follows:

  • Results of the Birdathon competition--The donation page is open until June 2!

  • A brief explanation of ASNV’s new Stretch Our Parks initiative.
