Join the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia, Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, and the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for an afternoon of advocacy training. Attendance is free, but you need to register. The workshop will build your knowledge, skills and confidence to get elected officials on your side of the issues. 

Virginia Delegate Ken Plum will give the keynote address. The training will consist of three panel discussions: 

  1. How does a local governing board make policy? 

  2. How to be an effective advocate 

  3. What can we learn from successful and unsuccessful advocacy efforts? 

We'll finish the training with a discussion of what’s ahead in the Virginia General Assembly.
