Occoquan and Meadowood Wildlife Surveys |

|
Ready to identify any resident and transient birds and other wildlife? Working under special permits, you and your fellow volunteers conduct searches in representative habitats of these highly-diverse natural areas - counting numbers of species and individuals, noting location of rare or special interest species, and unusual happenings.
Reports of each survey are compiled and emailed to the participants and other interested parties. Annual and other periodic compilations of data are also distributed as public information and for the use by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Land Management in wildlife management and planning.
