What better than a day tracking and identifying butterflies? This survey supports the North American Butterfly Association’s (NABA) 4th of July Butterfly count.   

Participants count all species and individuals within a 15 mile diameter circle centered on the mouth of Marumsco Creek in Prince William County. 

The results are submitted to NABA’s national database for butterflies and are published in NABA’s annual report.
